Día de los Muertos

Two days honouring Mexico's Day of the Dead, with Chef Primo's traditional dishes, a piñata, complimentary pan de muerto and our ofrenda.

Día de los Muertos is a celebration, not a sad day. Mexican families build an ofrenda (an altar) with marigolds, candles, photos and the favourite food of loved ones who have passed, to welcome them home. If you've seen the film Coco, you'll know the idea, and it's close to the way Thai families remember their ancestors. Chef Primo will decorate our ofrenda on Friday 30 October. Join us on Sunday 1 and Monday 2 November, and bring a photo of someone you'd like to remember: we'll place it on the ofrenda in their memory. Chef Primo's traditional menu: tamales oaxaqueños with chicken mole, Guerrero-style pozole rojo, tacos de carnitas and agua de horchata, plus complimentary pan de muerto, our sweet bread with orange and cinnamon sugar. And there's a piñata.
